Israeli court blocks life-saving cancer care for boy, 5, due to his Gaza address | Israel | The Guardian
1 week ago - “The significance of this ruling is that the court is providing backing for an unlawful policy that effectively condemns children to death, even when life-saving treatment is in reach.” · About 11,000 Palestinian cancer patients are still trapped in Gaza despite the reopening of the Rafah crossing last week. Doctors say cancer-related deaths have tripled in the territory since the war began, as Israel continues to hinder patients from leaving and restricts the entry of chemotherapy drugs.

Why did children with chronic health diseases need to wait for health care? LUIS PEDERNERA, Committee Expert and Member of the Country Taskforce for Israel, said the Committee believed that Israel had effective control of the occupied Palestinian territories. He disagreed on the issue of proportionality, when the targets were children who were not a threat and were shot in the head by snipers or drones.

Gaza: War has made children violent, sad and bereft | UN News
November 13, 2025 - According to child safety partner assessments conducted in September, shared by the UN aid coordination office (OCHA), 93 per cent exhibited aggressive behaviour and 90 per cent were violent towards younger children. Sadness and withdrawal are almost as common (86 per cent), along with disturbed sleep (79 per cent) and widespread refusal to study (69 per cent). While a fragile ceasefire holds, the deadly violence and insecurity have not ended entirely, with Israeli military strikes near or east of the so-called “Yellow Line”.
