Thanks everyone! Looks like my posts are unhidden now, perhaps the mods of the subreddits needed to review before making them public, as my account is new.

Technically as part of the terms of service, yes. However, it would take a lot of resources for Reddit to prove you're under 13 since ID/passport identification is not required like some other platforms. So there is no way of knowing what a user's real age is.

No, there is no standard. Minimums are set by the creators of subreddits. If you are looking for subreddits with little to no Karma or age required, click here . typical karma barrier is from 10-200, but an go as high as 500, or even 1000 in more cautious subreddits. For account age, some common amounts are 1, 3, 7 and 30 days, but this age can vary depending on the community.

Each subreddit can set its own rules. If the mods of a sub want to say that nobody under a certain age can post or comment, they are allowed to do that. There are, however, no technical mechanisms in place, as far as I know, to support that, and they need to rely on people following the rules (except in the case of NSFW subs). As far as how you know, subs with age restrictions will generally post them in their "About" info, which it's always a good idea to read before interacting with any subreddit.
