I captured very faint dust surrounding the North Star, Polaris

• February 22, 2025Hello everyone! If you don't know what IFN is (integrated flux nebula) it is very faint dust that is scattered all throughout the milky way and requires a lot of imaging hours to bring any detail out of it. Turns out the area around Polaris has quite the amount of IFN and is more easily capturable in regards to other parts of the night sky. This dust is illuminated just by the stars of the galaxy. Enjoy! I re-edited an image from 2022 where I took a bunch of images of Polaris under unstable weather but still got 5 hours of somewhat clean data. Under Bortle 4 skies in Slovenia. Canon 6D Samyang 135mm f/2 at f/2.8 ISO 3200 Star Adventurer Pro 5 hours of 210" images No calibration frames More on reddit.com

If the leafs are fine, try swapping out the top housing. If it still won't actuate, then it's likely that your stem length is too long on the halo stems. So either top housing incompatibility or stem incompatibility
