Photo mode was working fine until I upgraded to a 5080 the day after launch. Now every time I go into photo mode and try to take a screenshot, the game just hangs until it crashes with the watchdog error. It does create a png, but it's corrupted and can't be opened.

It works fine if I disable RT completely. Game runs solidly with PT enabled, except for photo mode. I have no mods or overclock/undervolt on my GPU. I've tried;

* Clean reinstall of the game * DDU GPU driver and reinstall * Reinstall C++ redists * Underclock GPU * Changed PCIE to gen 4 in bios * Put my 3080 back in - photo mode works fine with PT.

I considered installing shoo watchdog but I get the impression it would just hang forever. I may try reinstalling Windows or throwing my 3080 back in.

I'm hoping it's just the new Nvidia driver? Please help!

TURN OFF PATH TRACING COMPLETELY IN PHOTO MODE AND IN GAME TO WORKAROUND

UPDATE 24/3/25: still not fixed, but Nvidia are aware and have acknowledged that it's a driver level bug as pointed out in this helpful post . Also 572.83 has absolutely decimated the performance in this game, horrendous frametime spikes.

Hi everyone, I recently upgraded my system with a new Nvidia RTX 5080 and it's running Cyberpunk like a dream! Except... when I try to use the Photo Mode the game freezes when I press the button to take the screenshot and eventually closes... Interestingly, this only seems to happen when I have Ray Tracing enabled. I'm wondering if this is just a bug with the drivers giving that it's a very new graphics card but it's a shame since I was looking forward to try out the new photo mode features!

Don't suppose anyone else is having this issue or knows of a solution?

Ryzen 9 9950X @ 4.3Ghz
64GB DDR5 RAM
RTX 5080 16GB (Running Studio Driver as I primarily use this system for editing)

Hey yall, I'm kind of new to modding the game, I install them manually through Nexus mods. Ever since the 2.01 update, whenever I go into photo mode, the game gets rid of the UI like normal, but instead of opening the UI for photo mode, it leaves the screen frozen. I can still move the mouse and hear the background noise, but I can't get out and the only way to fix it is to close the game and restart it. I tried turning off mods though the launcher to see if that would fix it, but unfortunately it didn't. Really don't want to have to reinstall, but I don't know what else to do.

I'm trying to take photos but every time I attempt to use the screenshot function it forcibly makes my PC restart. I do have a couple of appearance mods; I've seen older posts claiming Cyber Engine Tweaks causes photo mode crashing, but I'm not sure how that could be fixed besides getting rid of my few mods.

Specs: RTX 3090 Ti (32GB VRAM), Intel 11900k, 32GB RAM; monitor is 3840x2160

I don't have Path Tracing on at all, but I do have Ray Tracing on and most of the graphical settings at max. The game runs perfectly fine (probably around 55-60fps in most spots) even IN photo mode, it just crashes my PC whenever I attempt to screenshot. I also enabled Nvidia DLSS Super Resolution and changed it to Ultra Performance, but all this did was make the crash take longer.

Has anybody figured out a way to fix this that doesn't involve getting rid of CET?
