After lots of trial and error (clean install of drivers, trying hotspot, etc.), what finally fixed it was disabling IPv6 on my Wi-Fi adapter. Once I reconnected, the redemption suddenly worked. So the old IPv6 issue is apparently still around in 2025. I just bought a new PNY graphics card that comes with a Borderlands 4 game bundle. However, I’m not sure how to actually claim or redeem the game code.

Just have the same problem and that was driving me crazy. But here is my solution to redeem the promo code : As u/nokobueno said in another topic : Type “View Network Connections” into the Start Menu. 2. Right-click on your active Ethernet adapter, then select Properties. 3. Uncheck Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6). 4. Click OK to apply changes. Then I went to the Nvidia control panel, and click on "Configure surround PhysX" tab and selected my graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070Ti) instead of "auto" in the PhysX settings field. After that I run the NVIDIA App, try to redeem the promo code and everything works.
Update Nvidia Drivers get Borderlands 4 Golden key
So i updated my nvidia drivers and what i thought was a free game of borderlands 4 turned out to just be free golden key? So since i dont play the game or have any need for this (Codes expire 11:59pm PT on December 31, 2030). I believe you enter the SHiFT menu and redeem it in the rewards button. More on steamgifts.com

August 18, 2025 - Did not receive a code. Contacted Walmart, they told me I have to contact PNY. Contacted PNY, they told me to contact Nvidia. Contacted Nvidia, they told me tough shit ask Walmart about it (seriously, the guy at Nvidia was rude AF). So guess I just dont get mine. ... I got this exact same run around.
