Eating Honey vs. Eating Almonds - Is There a Difference?

What is the almond production analog for the exploitation & killing of bees that takes place during honey production? Is there something particular about almond pollination as opposed to the pollination of anything else, or is it just the transportation? Also does the transportation happen for any other large crop?

I don't see this is a huge issue personally, at least not of the same level. That said, while I eat almonds, the environmental impact of almond production is well advertised, so I avoid almond milk.
