TIL that Leon Trotsky's actual name was Lev Bronstein. In 1902 he escaped from prison in Siberia and stole his jailer's passport and went by that name from then on.
Trotsky was assassinated in Mexico City, Mexico. He died from excessive brain damaged caused by an ice pick. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leon_Trotsky#Assassination More on reddit.com

January 4, 2025 - Because Leon is just the romanization of his first name “Lev.” Trotsky, starting in the early 1902, went by the name Lev Trotsky (Лев Троцкий) but rarely used his middle name Davidovich and never his last name Bronstein. Certainly by the time of the game, he was universally known as Lev Trotsky in the Soviet Union.
