Is pumping during work meetings covered by law?

So you shouldn’t have to go to the meetings…. But I am an educator myself and know how hard the schedule is. My pump schedule was in the car on the way to work, lunch, and immediately at last bell when kids were gone. Just something else you could try if your plan time isn’t going to work out every day.

New breastfeeding policy at work

https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/pump-at-work

The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires employers to provide reasonable break time for an employee to express breast milk for their nursing child for one year after the child's birth each time such employee has need to express the milk. Employees are entitled to a place to pump at work, other than a bathroom, that is shielded from view and free from intrusion from coworkers and the public.

Under the general guidance area on the above link is a place to file a complaint, if needed.

Set expectations for frequency of pumping! So write down in the policy they are allowed 30 minute breaks every 2-3 hours Some of my bosses have had no idea how frequently you have to pump to maintain supply. And the 30 minutes allows time for setting up and cleaning pump parts More on reddit.com
