Honestly the only time I've experienced weird unexplained stuff is at my grandma's house, which is a non-descript bungalow in Portage Park.

I've heard plenty of weird noises and phantom toilet flushes, and more than a few family members have claimed to see things.

When I was a kid I asked my grandma if her house was haunted and she (being a very catholic woman) just responded "don't worry dear, those are just angels." Which didn't exactly make me feel better lol.

TIL Lincoln Park used to be the official city cemetery before it was a park, and the ground there is still filled with old, unmarked graves.

Former Lincoln Park Zoo director Lester Fisher told Bannos that workers found a skeleton and casket when they dug the foundation for the zoo's barn in 1962. After getting no guidance from bureaucrats on what to do, they reburied the casket and poured the foundation on top of it https://www.chicagoreader.com/chicago/a-conservatory-a-zoo-and-12000-corpses/Content?oid=1109775 More on reddit.com

Does anyone know anything about zoos being haunted? I work at a notoriously haunted zoo as it is 150 years old and was built over a graveyard. However, I was wondering if animals ever haunt zoos? I’ve only heard of a few animal apparitions being seen here.

Is this ghost tour kid-appropriate?

While our tours do not contain anything too graphic or inappropriate, we find that kids that enjoy history have the best time. You know your children and that's left up to you. We do not recommend bringing children in strollers because sometimes that can be difficult with larger walking groups.
