r/musictheory on Reddit: Has anyone ever “calculated” what note the frequency of the earth is?
May 2, 2020 -
Maybe like what “note” this frequency is? My thoughts were that you could simplify the equation that the note = 1 cycle/day = 1 cycle/24hrs = 1 cycle/86400 seconds
So then times this number by 2 many times to get each octave higher.
1/86400 x 225 =~ 388.36 Hz
And a quick internet search says 392 is a G, so about 4 Hz less than a G.
Does that check out?

During part of the year, the northern hemisphere is tilted toward the Sun, and the southern hemisphere is tilted away.
