What is Messianic Judaism?
“Messianic Judaism” is a Protestant Christian group that attempts to convert Jews to Christianity under the deceptive pretense of being an alternative but valid form of Judaism. It also provides Christians a way to pretend to be Jews as a way to tie their own beliefs to what they see as a more authentic religion, without actually having to listen to what that religion says. Every Jewish denomination agrees that “Messianic Judaism” is not a form of Judaism. Messianic Jews may not join synagogues, lead Jewish services, participate in Jewish rituals, or be buried in Jewish cemeteries. A big percentage of “Messianic Jews” were never Jewish to begin with, but even a born Jew who joins “Messianic Judaism” stops being Jewish for almost all intents and purposes. More on reddit.com
Messianic Judaism
I grew up in a Messianic Jewish community and I was able to get out it when I was 21 years old. If she is Jewish, she needs to get out. It’s basically a cult, they are going to try to reprogram the thought that Jesus is the messiah and to be “messiah-like”, they will tell her to not let other people know she’s messianic, if a fight between you and her were ever to occur, they will tell her to isolate herself from you. It’s Christians stealing Jewish culture and changing it to fit their agenda. More on reddit.com
Are "Messianic Jews" just Christians who are ethnically Jews?
I’m ethnically Jewish but I call myself a Christian. I tried a messianic event once (Passover) and it was mostly wrong. Passover is my favorite holiday and to watch what they did to it broke my heart. More on reddit.com
Thoughts on messianic jews?
Jews generally have very negative feelings towards Messianics. Most feel that they're fetishizing Judaism while trying to force Christianity on our beliefs. It's agreed upon by pretty much everyone (except them) that they're just a bizarre sect of Christianity rather than an actual Jewish denomination. To clarify, I have no problems with Christians, just this "have it both ways" mentality while they try to appropriate our religion and culture. More on reddit.com

To qualify as a Messianic Jew, the individuals had to believe Jesus was both fully human and divine and fulfilled Israel’s Law of Return requiring at least one grandparent to be Jewish.
