Sorry, I don't know of a detailed comparison between the different coding standards. That at is not to say there isn't any one, just that I haven't come across once. Though I would expect that if there exists one, it is likely out of date. What I wonder is: What do you mean by "exact differences"? The documents as such most likely won't have any commonality at all. There are probably a lot of rules that are similar at least in Spirit, but if you are looking for exact matches/differences, you'll probably end up with far more differences than commonalities.

Hey, I recently sat together with Michael Lynch, an ex-Googler and ex-Microsoftie who now runs his own tech start-up, Tiny Pilot.
I asked him about software engineering practices at Google and Microsoft and how they differ from what he now does at his own start-up. We are both code review fans, so we also talked about this engineering practice.
In a nutshell, he stressed that at Google and Microsoft, you write code that has to be supported for many, many years. In a start-up, you might not even know if the code will ever have customers. So, quality concerns are totally different.
He also said that in a start-up, as a technical founder, you do not have to convince anybody to pay back technical debt. It's at your own discretion. So moving fast at the beginning is not such a problem.
Still, at his own start-up, he does code reviews, also to mentor his contractors and to ensure the code is maintainable and consistent. And he also writes tests.
But he does all of that always with an eye on the return on investment, which we should also do in other settings.
So, if it's too hard to write that unit test, he writes an integration test. And if he sees manual testing is sufficient at the moment, he does not write tests.

I worked at a startup whose CTO was an ex-Googler. That was the shittiest code I have ever seen in 25+ years. Every file was 1000s of lines long. Lots of repetitive code. State kept in shared variables, which meant that the code couldn't scale. State persisted in CSV files rather than a data store. I attempted to modularize the code, and he told me that he couldn't understand it anymore, and he made me roll back my changes. After that, every time I added code, I would say to myself, "How do I make this shitty like V would?" I know, sample of 1, but not impressed.

You are not Google. They have issues you don't. For example: I hate when people won't use exceptions because "Google doesn't". Their own style guide says that they would prefer to use eceptions but by the time they wrote their guide they had too much legacy code that did not.
