AMD confirms its Zen 7 and Zen 8 roadmap for 2028 and 2030 - OC3D
July 24, 2026 - It seems likely that AMD’s Zen 7 CPUs will support both DDR6 and LPDDR6 memory. These new memory types should enable increased memory bandwidth over today’s DDR5 and LPDDR5X memory modules.

AMD reveals new roadmap for its Ryzen CPUs, teasing Zen 7 as the true "next-generation" leap with 2nm — Lineup confirms 2026 release for Zen 6, coming with expanded AI features
Tomsharware title is wrong about zen7 node, it's zen6 that is on 2nm, zen7 is on "future node" 4% projected annual growth for dc cpu general compute 18% projected annual growth for ai dc cpu Ai dc cpu sales to more than double total dc cpu market by 2030 from 23b to 60b, ai is boosting dc cpu demand instead of cannibalizing it Amd also "hiring like crazy" on software side, total number of hardware and software engineers exceeded 25k, minority on the payroll are managers They are sayin that future epyc growth will be primarily driven by host processors of ai gpu clusters and hinted that uarch emphasis in the next few generations will be on per core perf (ipc + clocks + on cpu accelerators) instead of core spam because ai workloads benefit from st perf This kinda aligns with speculations that zen7 ain't gonna bring major core count increase on the dc side. Client still has room for growth from 16 to 24 or 32, but the primary dc market ain't going for that anymore. Good thing for gamers due to st focus probably tldr, Dc requirements for core count slowing down, amd moving on from mt perf and thread dense market to high per core perf market due to ai and enterprise More on reddit.com

AMD Zen 7 "2028" and Zen 8 "2030" CPU Architectures Confirmed - EPYC Florence "Zen 7" To Feature Next-Gen Node, & ACE Extensions
July 24, 2026 - Just like the previous Zen iterations, Zen 7 will come in classic and compute-optimized (Zen 7C) flavors. But what's notable about Zen 7 is that the chips will be made on a next-gen process node, so we can expect something in the sub-2nm segment, such as TSMC's A16 or A14. The processors will also be the first EPYC family to support next-gen memory standards in MRDIMM and LPDDR series.

May 26, 2026 -
AMD Zen 7 insights have recently been shared online, and they are pointing to TSMC’s 1.4nm A14 process and up to 32 cores on flagship chips. If the reports are accurate, AMD could also massively boost 3D V-Cache to 224 MB per CCD, which sounds insane for gaming and workstation performance. Apparently, AMD may skip intermediate nodes entirely and move straight to A14, with mass production expected around 2028. Curious whether Intel is now also planning something competitive to AMD?

AMD Confirms Zen 6 (2 nm) and Zen 7 with Efficiency Upgrades and New AI Features | TechPowerUp
AMD has updated its CPU core roadmap confirming Zen 6 and Zen 7 architectures as the next steps for its Ryzen and EPYC product families. The new roadmap was shown during the company's Financial Analyst Day 2025. Zen 6 will launch next year and is built using TSMC's 2 nm process node. The lineup will include both Zen 6 and Zen 6C variants, optimized respectively for high performance and power efficiency. According to AMD CTO Mark Papermaster, Zen 6 will bring higher IPC, improved efficiency and expanded AI data type support with additional AI pipelines.

August 29, 2026 - AMD has demonstrated an 8-core/16-thread Zen processor outperforming an equally-clocked Intel Broadwell-E processor in Blender rendering and HandBrake benchmarks. Zen supports AVX2 but it requires two clock cycles to complete each AVX2 instruction compared to Intel's one. This difference was corrected in Zen 2. Zen supports DDR4 memory ...

AMD presents new Zen CPU roadmap, confirms Zen 7 with new matrix engine - VideoCardz.com
November 11, 2025 - AMD has not shared any extra Zen 7 details beyond what sits on this roadmap slide. There is no process node label, no product timing, and no mention of core counts or cache. For now, the only official message is that Zen 7 will add a new matrix engine and broader AI data handling, while everything else still comes from unconfirmed leaks, including talk of higher core density, larger cache stacks, and a follow-up to Zen 6 after the 2nm era.
