I've always found it interesting that the Right vehemently denies that for the last decade or two, they've been operating directly out of the Nazi playbook, almost step for step. This is almost identical to the rise of fascism in Europe as a whole. That doesn't necessarily mean that today's Republicans are going to round up Latino people and exterminate them. But to sit here with open eyes seeing the paradigm shift in Republican messaging and suggest this isn't a move towards fascism a la the 1930's Nazi party is just wild to me. And I know people don't want to admit that they're actively opening the door for this sort of thing. I get that. But any sembelance of self awareness would be helpful to navigate today's political landscape and improve our odds of a brighter future. More on reddit.com

I came across this movie that was quite clearly being review bombed, I wondered why? Then I watched it for myself and understood. This is probably the most important movie you will watch this year. It will take a little tracking down, but it is too important to miss and imperative that you make up your own mind. The trailer may help somewhat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDE97KrYDuU It is not entertainment. It is knowing what the future may hold that will empower us to act upon the present.

2073 Movie Review | Common Sense Media
2073
Demoralizing docu-drama predicts a bleak future. Read Common Sense Media's 2073 review, age rating, and parents guide. Directed by respected documentarian Kapadia, there's no doubt this part-documentary, part-dystopian drama deals with some important issues. "2073"'s moralistic lens holds humanity accountable for its failings, from climate change to the threat of social media. However, the bleakness is unrelenting, making it a difficult watch. What's more, it doesn't tell us anything new. Rather, it bombards viewers with how awful everything is. The sprawling narrative tries to cover too much,

2073 (3*): A Glimpse into a Dreadful Apocalyptic Future
This film is a difficult one to categorise. It’s an apocalyptic view into the near future (2073) but also a political essay on today’s dangerous elements in politics and business that might lead us there.
