NESARA would return the country to the gold standard, remove compound interest from debt and remove the income tax with a national sales tax. Each of these would have significant effects on the economy. The gold standard assumes you have gold to back up your currency, without getting to deep into the economic theory - the gold standard is not a useful standard anymore for judging the value of a nations currency. The value of the currency is pegged to the value of gold and the country cannot control the value of its own currency. That means some of the actions the Federal reserve bank took in the 1990’s and 2010’s to prevent the economy from cratering would have been much more difficult if not impossible. A national sales tax in place of an income tax would ensure that poor people stay poor and rich people get richer. Graduated income taxes are put in place to prevent a class of national oligarchs from taking over the country. Needless to say rich people fight to include loops and any trick they can find to shift taxes off of themselves and then claim they are the victim of unfair taxation. Removing compound interest from secured debt would be a gigantic mess that I don’t want to touch. There is a cult like following around these proposals where people believe that “by implementing NESARA, the country will be returned to the economic security of the 1950’s” like magic while ignoring the economic realities of the current day and ignoring how the economy (money theory, logistics management, labor distribution, automation) operates in the current day. In short: if NESARA worked how the adherents believed it would, the quants doing serious economic analysis would have worked out its benefits and recommended changes to congress so the country could benefit from it. I believe you can google for copies of his economic theories and the rebuttals from actual economists (with actual degrees in economics). But that is well beyond the preview of this subreddit.
