York is justifiably famous for its amazing ancient pubs and to me The Golden Fleece Pub is not only one of my favourite pubs in York but probably the one with the most history.
The interior is superb, multi roomed ,great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and despite its relatively cramped interior lots of seating options,a really good looking pub indeed, established in 1503 the pub is allegedly haunted by the ghost of Lady Alice

Really neat little place. It's very old and and foundation is a little "wobbly". Seating is limited, order at the bar. We had the fish and chips and it was huge! Restrooms are very small. There are stories and newspaper clippings along the walls of the "haunting" stories. Fun place to stop in!
