I guess it is about 20-50 mA or something like that, but I can't find any datasheet of the NE5532 stating that parameter. Nor does it say... More on diyaudio.com

• September 30, 2003I've built an active subwoofer filter using a NE5532P op amp and my rail voltages are +22V/-22V. I haven't connected the PS to the board yet. I know some chips have higher tolerances than specified. Anyone overvoltaged (a word?) this chip and survived:hot: Am I really pushing it this time... More on diyaudio.com

• January 27, 2020Normally I'd say changing the sound by rolling opamps is nonsense, however the stock DAC-X6 has easily measureable and audible treble rolloff according to ASR. I doubt that this issue is exclusively caused by the stock opamp, but perhaps that really is the case. More on reddit.com
