I started replaying the game. At the end of Micheal’s Chapter he says he needs to do something before they get to him. Any speculation in what he needed to do?
The Puritan preacher Jonathan Edwards preached a famous sermon entitled "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God." Accounts of the delivery of the sermon report that it shook people to the core. I like to say that when God was angry at the world, He sent the Flood. When He loved the world, He sent Jesus.
So many people view God as angry and spiteful (remember the sitcom "Maude" and her phrase "God is gonna get you for that..."?), but in reality, God is love.
I can't really think of anything that I believed prior to embracing CU that has changed, except the concept of eternal punishment. Even before embracing CU I thought it possible that hell for the unsaved could possibly still be living in Heaven for eternity. That may sound farfetched, but think of it this way: you have to spend eternity at the opera. Some people are in Heaven for eternity, while the vast majority of us are in Hell.
Anyhow, this song flips that sermon title around and places the sinner in the hands of a loving God.
