Antivaxxer Steve Kirsch unknowingly identifies the fatal flaw of an antivax “report” from the McCullough Foundation | Science-Based Medicine
1 month ago - Kirsch nailed it! If you use a different evidence hierarchy that includes, along with randomized, double-blind studies, and large registry studies, low quality evidence such as non-replicated mechanistic papers, uncontrolled case-series and ecological correlations, and in vitro cell culture work that has never been shown to apply to in vivo models, you’re going to come to different conclusions!

Steve Kirsch and the Seduction of Simplicity - McGill University
May 20, 2022 - A central lesson we scientists learn in university is that science is complicated. Experiments that should yield either result A or B show us C, instead. Individual studies are flawed, and our understanding of a problem is achieved by collating these puzzle pieces to the best of our ability and interpreting the emerging picture in a way that, we hope, minimizes our biases.

r/IntellectualDarkWeb on Reddit: Bret Weinstein made a mistake to get Steve Kirsch on the podcast, and I am disappointed at the lack of scrutiny given to his arguments
May 6, 2021 -

Here is a link to Steve Kirschs article "Should you get vaccinated"

Wherein the arguments listed are either extremely disingenuous or just straight up wrong.

- He claims that the vaccine has killed over 25000 people in the US alone, citing the VAERS reported deaths, showing roughly 5000 reported deaths in the last 6 months, and saying that it's heavily underreported, with a 1-20% reporting rate. Where he got the reporting rate from is unknown, especially since the covid vaccinations have begun. There likely is overreporting as well, as anything that happens after the vaccine, caused by it or not, will be reported. There are roughly 6000 average deaths in the US every day, independently of covid or vaccinations. So how could he come up with "likely" 25000 or more died from vaccines?

- Kirsch puts up some shitty graph about the reported deaths per year in VAERS, where before this year the reported deaths were around 200 on average, now being around 5000. He immediately concludes that this is due to the high lethality of the vaccine. This is not a proper way of assessing the deadliness of a vaccine, if you don't account for the total amount of people vaccinated as well as the total amount of reporting done. This is straight up disingenuous.

- The next claim about harms was "82% miscarriage rate in first 20 weeks", which links here. But this number seems to be computed as "Amongst pregnancies that ended, how many were miscarriages?" The table was published in April 21 about people who were vaccinated December 14 - February 28, and it looks like there shouldn't have been enough time for anyone to have a healthy live birth if they were vaccinated in the first 20 weeks.

This is straight up misleading, and shouldn't hold to the usual scrutiny one would expect from Bret and Heather. I am disappointed, and I feel manipulated. Is this just a big move to exploit the "triggerhappiness" of social media to ban people, exploiting the Streisand effect?

There are countless other things that are insanely fishy to me, making me question the ulterior motives of Weinstein. This really leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and I don't know how I should feel about this. What are your thoughts?

All three cited posts were created in September. One post made the claim that over 150,000 people have been killed by the COVID-19 vaccines and called out Jeffrey Morris for refusing a recorded debate with Kirsch. The second post included a message that Kirsch said he sent to Eric Topol making the same claim of 150,000 COVID-19 vaccine deaths and challenging Topol to a debate.

December 6, 2023 - It appals me to confess that I don’t recall having any actual connection with the reality of the situation: that a natural disaster had sent a nation spiralling into chaos, disarray and tragedy. Open Letter to Steve Kirsch – The Everyday Concerned Citizen
Many thanks to Christine Massey for permission to re-post this excellent Open Letter to Steve Kirsch–with links to pertinent correspondence–which clearly delineates the main subjects under scrutiny in examining whether the SARS-COV-2 virus has ever been isolated, whether any virus has ever been isolated, and whether anyone needs to abide by the “expert opinions” of virologists, including CDC scientists, who cannot isolate a virus but say that substances found in cell culture mixtures of random proteins and toxins are viruses and arbiters of deadly disease.
