Alien Interview - Ikwipedia
Exopaedia describes Spencer as "a British Scientologist and author who writes science fiction and fantasy," directly stating that Alien Interview is "in essence a work of fiction—some say propaganda—to promote Scientology."[5] Bill Ryan critiqued the book's narrative as filled with "sociolinguistic anachronisms and Scientology vocabulary," such as "doll bodies" and "Space Opera," which echo themes promoted by Scientology founder L.

r/scientology on Reddit: Source material for Hubbard's scientology - "Alien Interview"
July 23, 2024 -

I am not sure this has been spoken here in detail but I saw some posts showing intrigue as to how L Ron Hubbard started all this. I think I have found the answer but does involve only arguments not definitive physical evidence as such. Let me start:

One can check this website on his unpublished work called "Excalibur". https://web.archive.org/web/20140922143648/http://american-buddha.com/cult.yesbookcalledexcalibur.htm . It's often sited as his foundational texts for his later works. Basically Hubbard says he had a out-of-body experience where he absorbed an intellectual smorgasbord as the SUM TOTAL OF HUMAN KNOWLEDGE and wrote Excalibur containing the basic metaphysical secrets of the Universe. I claim its none other the alien interview document for which I will attach the 4 hour long video version https://youtu.be/GbMPWmghqog?si=WWJQYyiWQMAWiBWF and the pdf version https://ia801205.us.archive.org/35/items/1947RoswellAl.INTERVIEWMatildaODonnellMacElroy/1947_Roswell%20Al.%20INTERVIEW%20-%20Matilda%20O%20Donnell%20MacElroy.pdf

In the pdf version one can see how the man Lawrence Spencer received the transcripts from Matilda Macelroy under the title 'source of the material'. The ones who already have an idea of this alien interview and are well into scientology have concluded on first look that alien interview is fiction and a rehash of scientology principles ,since the guy Lawrence is a scientologist for many years and his previous personal works like his 'Oz factors' are influenced by scientology. However if one does a deeper comparison of both scientology and alien interview on various aspects one would conclude Hubbard may have borrowed heavily from sources like "Alien Interview" rather than the reverse during his military days.

Linguistic Analysis:

Clarity in "Alien Interview":

The language in "Alien Interview" is straightforward and accessible, designed to be easily understood by a wide audience. This contrasts with the often convoluted and jargon-heavy language found in Hubbard's writings. For example, usage of the word is-be is cause it has explanatory power.

Complexity in Scientology:

Hubbard employs complex English, using synonyms for simple words (contrition for remorse for example), and specialized jargon like "MEST" (Matter, Energy, Space, and Time). This complexity can create barriers to understanding and serves to obfuscate and mystify, which is not present in the "Alien Interview."

Chronological Context:

"Alien Interview" (1947): Supposedly compiled immediately after the Roswell incident, based on interviews conducted in mid-1947.

Scientology (Post-1950): Developed by Hubbard starting with "Dianetics" in 1950 and evolving into Scientology in the early 1950s. Hubbard's "Excalibur" story, often cited as the foundational text for his later works, dates from 1948.

Conceptual Overlaps:

1.Immortality and Spiritual Beings:

"Alien Interview": Discusses IS-BEs (Immortal Spiritual Beings), a concept that is clear and self-explanatory.

Scientology: Introduces the term "thetan" to describe an immortal being, often couched in complex terminology and philosophical constructs.

2.Civilizations and Extraterrestrial Influence:

"Alien Interview": References "The Domain" and "Old Empire," described in a direct and comprehensible manner.

Scientology: Mentions entities like the "Marcab Confederacy" and various invader forces, often requiring deeper immersion into Scientology's unique jargon.

"MARCAB CONFEDERACY, various planets united into a very vast civilization which has come forward up through the last 200,000 years, is formed out of the fragments of earlier civilizations. In the last 10,000 years they have gone on with a sort of a decadent kicked-in-the-head civilization that contains automobiles, business suits, fedora hats, telephones, spaceships. A civilization which looks almost exact duplicate but is worse off than the current U.S. civilization." This is none other than "Old empire" in Alien Interview. The idea US civilisations look similar to old empire civilisation is of profound metaphysical significance if you consider human as a composition of body and soul. The souls from those civilisations are incarnating here with the idea to introduce technologies to earth is an interpretation for it.

Here business suits, fedora hats are trivial descriptions which you can never spot in alien interview.

The Role of Earth 1952 transcripts of Hubbard signify this difference. In the alien interview something significant like this is mentioned:

"The Domain took over the planet Venus as a defensive position against the space forces of the "Old Empire".The Domain Expeditionary Force also monitors life forms on Venus which has a very dense, hot and heavy atmosphere of sulfuric acid clouds. There are a few life forms on Earth that can endure an atmospheric environment like Venus." There has been research in mainstream science that presence of phosphine- a biomarker of anaerobic life is found in Venusian clouds. To confirm the research there are DaVinci missions planned in 2030.

But this is the lines used by Hubbard who I surmise had access to "Alien Interview" transcripts tapes for these wordings in "Role of Earth"

"This is directly and violently in opposition to the Fourth Invader Force. And the Fifth Invader Force, out of its own protection, took over Venus - oh, relatively in modern times - took over Venus and tried to stabilize the Venusian. If you called a Fifth Invader, though, a Venusian, he would probably shoot you out of hand, because it would be a horrible insult. They *merely monitor the government of Venus*, and they leave Mars strictly alone."

He misheard the tapes or what, changed monitoring lifeforms to government.

In Role of Earth he uses his terms 4th and 5th invader force - 4th being old empire of alien interview and 5th being domain but also mixes in domain and expeditionary force too. The role of earth is just a mess of jargons but inspired from "alien interview" transcripts.

Evidence and Plausibility:

Hubbard's Story of "Excalibur": Hubbard's account of "Excalibur," which he claimed contained profound metaphysical secrets, aligns with the timing of the Roswell incident and the subsequent "Alien Interview." This suggests he might have had access to similar sources or inspiration.

Hence considering all this and more I have come to the conclusion the alien interview really did take place(there are non-scientology reasons too which is a separate discussion) and this perspective challenges the notion that "Alien Interview" is merely a product of a Scientologist's imagination, instead suggesting it could be a foundational document from which Hubbard drew inspiration for his philosophical and spiritual framework.

r/UFOs on Reddit: Alien Interview - Lawrence R. Spencer; Anyone read this?
September 21, 2022 -

Has anyone read this book? Supposedly taken from the notes/documents left to this guy by a Matilda O'Donnell MacElroy. A Roswell airbase nurse that alleged that she conducted all the interviews with the surviving "being" at the crash site.

Wondered if there was any merit to this person at all. The author mentions she may well not actually exist as he never met her physically, but he spoke to her once on the phone. She confirmed she did work at Roswell but would not talk about anything else until she fell poorly & sent him these documents on her death bed.

Quite frankly, the wildest thing I've ever read & I have read a lot of crazy theories/stories etc. It honestly reads like a new Star Wars film.

Anyone know any information about this nurse/ author, has this been debunked?

Alien Interview by Lawrence R. Spencer | Goodreads
I'm not sure if this is a riff on Scientology or a rip-off of Scientology but either way I couldn't finish it. The book starts with a great premise but quickly devolves into less of an interview and more of a dictation of a new age cosmology. The worst of it being that the passages from the alien read as Scientology fan fiction.

May 20, 2012 - This book was given away on the paracast forums after a rather funny Interview on their show, some people on that site found the parallels between it and Scientology more than a coincidence, basically many called it propaganda for Scientology in a UFO wrapper. It also might not be a coincidence that the author is a long time Scientologist.

Warning: Each interview is very long, only for the dedicated viewer or listener.

  1. What are your thoughts on this supposed interview with a Reptillain/Surian named Lacerta from 1999, please forgive the poor microsoftsam-esque audio, and please watch in it's entirety: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5tgMFdr7Gw

  2. What are your thoughts on the supposed Humaniod ET from inner-Venus (sounds stupid, I know), Commander Valiant Thor who was employed at the Pentagon for a number of years? Forgive the silly intro music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RApR2SFnclI

  3. Third and final, what are your thoughts on the supposed interview with the surviving Roswell Grey, Airl, in 1947? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFk8qKO-Z50

According to ufologist James Fox an astronaut confirmed sharing his Roswell knowledge would be disastrous to religions.

Less related: isn't Star Wars in agreement with LoO because of dark side working along the Force too?

I have a Gold Medal in Mental Gymnastics as I grew up Mormon and held onto that belief for years in the face of a lot of contradictory evidence to some very literal beliefs.

I believe that practically EVERYONE will bend and flex around disclosure and mostly maintain their original beliefs … they’ll make it fit.

I think what could be disastrous to the organizations themselves is if the people understand that they have the power to think and act freely … something I appreciate when lurking in the LoO community. I don’t think governments or religions want people reassessing the situation … but I ultimately believe it would settle quickly with people flexing around the issue.

I do not consider the revelation of a universe full of life as disastrous for religions, it would depend on the culture and the personal beliefs.

The main branch of Christianity (~1500 million people), Catholic based at the Vatican State, already published an official document a decade ago, with the theological reasons of why is incompatible the infinite capacity and power of God, to be limited by our own human concepts, and how limit intelligent life to this single planet would be limiting an infinite power from a very limited human comprehension. The official position is that there is life in the universe and whatever is out there, all of them are brothers and sisters, children of the same God.

In Hinduism (~1200 million people) they have literally sacred texts with UFOs flying in the sky by non-human beings, they have the knowledge of the structure of the universe, and all the guardians and "co-creators" in charge of the universe and different realities, in fact, they are encouraged to practice meditation and when they reach Out of Body practices (astral travel), they are encouraged to find a non-human spirit guide/guardian.

Same for Buddhism (+500 million people), they are very well aware of non-human life all around us, not even outside of this planet, but living side-by-side here in different planes of existence, they can access through meditation and Out-of-Body practices.

Shintoism+others in Japan (+70 million people),, they consider everything in the universe has a soul, helping errant ghosts and watching UFOs is normal in Japan, no-one is scared or freaking out by that.

I have no idea about Islam (1700 million people), they know the non-human entities exist, they call them Jinns, but I have no idea if they have some contact with the "paranormal phenomenon", or if they consider other planetary civilizations as Jinns or brothers, I never had the chance to ask or read any document or statistics from the Islamic countries about it. The most populated Islamic country, Indonesia, they believe if many spiritual stuff because they're not Arabs or Persians, but I have no idea about life in other planets.

Tom Cruise versus Steven Spielberg: how Scientology invaded the set of War of the Worlds
Rumours that Cruise had set up a Scientology information tent on site had already been wearily confirmed by Spielberg in an interview with a German magazine. When the journalist pressed Spielberg for his feelings about this, the director said that he had himself occasionally received flack over his patronage of the Shoah Foundation. Was he really comparing a Scientology tent to a Holocaust memorial project? No, replied Spielberg stiffly, he was not. Scientology, it is tempting to argue, was the true alien invader during the making and marketing of War of the Worlds.

Some super interesting stuff in here. I have never been able to find information on the validity of the documents though.

The Tumulis in The Isle of Pines have been a point of interest for me for some time. Information in the allaged interview points to the remnants of a landing pad being located here. The tumuli are large earth mounds with iron centres and continue to baffle archeologists to this day.

There have been a few theories floated that include large Moa type birds that somehow dug these holes and created iron?

In any case, I welcome all and any information on the interview document, as well as The Isle of Pines and the Tumuli located there!

Hi. I've read the book ALIEN Interview that includes the transcripts, letters and personal notes provided by the late Army Air Force Nurse Matilda MacElroy concerning the Roswell UFO crash in 1947. I haven't found a lot of information, documentarys, interviews, podcasts about this book or the transcripts, but the book blown my mind, a lot of cool Metaphysic concepts and the origins of our planet, race, history of our Planet and our place in the galaxy. His any of this true or just pure fiction? Thanks.
