Detoxification of Aflatoxin B1 by magnetic graphene composite adsorbents from contaminated oils - PubMed
January 5, 2020 - The MGO adsorbent could have great potential in the application of AFB1 removal from contaminated oils, with the merits of facile magnetic separation and high removal efficiency. However, the removal process also causes a loss of the triglyceride, pigment, and beneficial micronutrients in the oil feedstocks. Keywords: Adsorbent; Aflatoxin B(1); Detoxification; Magnetic composite; Oil.

Effective Detoxification of Aflatoxin B1 and Ochratoxin A Using Magnetic Graphene Oxide Nanocomposite: Isotherm and Kinetic Study
November 2, 2021 - Magnetic graphene oxide (MGO) is a new class of nanostructured multifunctional nanocomposite materials, which play a vital role as an adsorbent. The primary aim of this study is to apply response surface methodology (RSM) to optimize the influence of pH within the range of 3 to 7, time (3–7 h), and temperature (30–50 °C), on the simultaneous detoxification of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) and ochratoxin A (OTA) by using MGO.

Graphene and Natural Products: A Review of Antioxidant Properties in Graphene Oxide Reduction
May 9, 2024 - This review article addresses the antioxidant properties of different natural products, including ascorbic acid, gallic acid, oxalic acid, L-glutathione (GSH), bacteriorhodopsin, green tea polyphenols, glucose, hydroxycinnamic acid, ethanoic acid, betanin, and L-glutathione, in the reduction of graphene oxide (rGO). rGO can cause damage to cells, including oxidative stress and inflammation, limiting its application in different sectors that use graphene, such as technologies used in medicine and dentistry.

Graphene oxide antagonizes the toxic response to arsenic via activation of protective autophagy and suppression of the arsenic-binding protein LEC-1 in Caenorhabditis elegans - Environmental Science: Nano (RSC Publishing)
June 1, 2018 - GO not only absorbed As(III), but also triggered protective autophagy, leading to efficient inhibition of oxidative stress, a major contributing factor in As(III) toxicity. Using laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) and loss-of-function mutants, our data further showed that GO accelerated the excretion of As(III) from nematodes by suppressing the expression of As(III)-binding proteins LEC-1.

An Observational Report about the Detoxifying Effects of Calcium Hypochlorite (MMS2) on Graphene Oxides (GOs) in Human Plasma
February 8, 2023 - Some saline injections or aqueous medical injections were questioned to have graphene oxide, which can transform the bodies of the injected people to attach spoons, metal materials on their arms, foreheads, faces, and belly (This is what one of my patients experienced) [20]. NAC (N-acetyl cysteine) adhered to the rGO (reduced GO) surface, avoided GO-mediated oxidation of glutathione, and detoxified GO [21]. Tony Patallesco made a bucket wrapped in wire to remove synthetic-biology-made nanomaterials from our body, because he thought that our bodies were swamped with nanomaterials which could change our DNA, make blood clots, and deprive many essential minerals from our bodies [22]. He recommended foot baths (in water with Bentonite clay or Epsom salt) to get rid of foreign nanomaterials.

A Magnetic Reduced Graphene Oxide Nanocomposite: Synthesis, Characterization, and Application for High-Efficiency Detoxification of Aflatoxin B1 | MDPI
January 19, 2024 - A large loss of nutrients inevitably ... from detoxified food after AFB1 adsorption. Activated carbon was recognized in one study to be an effective adsorbent, but 4.4 kg of vegetable oil was lost after treatment with one kilogram of activated carbon [23]. Ecotoxicological impact of graphene oxide: toxic effects on the model organism Artemia franciscana - Environmental Science: Nano (RSC Publishing)
October 21, 2020 - A. franciscana stage I nauplii or adults were exposed to GO (1–100 μg mL−1) up to 72 h, which induced a significant mortality only in adults exposed to the highest concentration for 72 h. The susceptibility of adults to GO was further investigated evaluating other biomarkers of toxicity: already 24 h exposure to 100 μg mL−1 GO induced significant activation of the xenobiotic detoxifying and antioxidant enzyme glutathione S-transferase, whereas other toxicological parameters, such as reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, cholinesterase activity and growth rate, were not affected even after 72 h exposure.
