Caleb Mutfwang

December 19, 2025 - Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang (born 12 March 1965) is a Nigerian lawyer and politician who is the current governor of Plateau State since 2023. He is a former Chairman of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State. Mutfwang was sworn in as governor on 29 May 2023.

January 2, 2024 - A former chairman of Mangu local government area of Plateau State, Mr. Caleb Muftwang, has emerged the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 governorship election in Plateau State.

Governor Caleb Muftwang’s minor cabinet reshuffle and suspension of four members in Plateau State on Tuesday has elicited anger and reaction from the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), which described the exercise as illogical and biased, noting that the affected officials were all from the southern part of the state.
