Noon question, I thought I would start here, I apologize and and am open to suggestions of more appropriate subs.
I want to mix 2-deoxy-d-ribose powder into a gel solution to make it as a body application. Can anyone suggest the gel medium to use for this that would not interact with the chemical structure of 2-deoxy-d-ribose? (I don't know that any gel would but that's why I'm asking questions).
This would be used as a gel to be applied to the body.

In the study they used a gum and a cellulose thickener, and a microbicide to prevent spoilage. Anything you use will need similar measures to prevent microbes from eating all that delicious sugar. Were it me, Id either replicate the studies recipe (cheap, everythings on amazon), or Id throw the sugar in some leave in conditioner along with .5% sodium benzoate to kill off bacteria etc.
