I’m working on a haunted UK bucket list for my blog (and eventually a full travel guide) - to include things like haunted castles, spooky pubs, dark history/quirky museums, ghost tours and folklore hotspots. Basically anything spooky!
I’d love some recommendations. Bonus points if it’s something slightly oddball or off the beaten track!

I am looking for haunted venues across the UK that allow for group bookings. There are SO many out there that are already advertised, but are there any hidden gems where you have had your own experiences, or know of others who have witnessed unexplained happenings? Places not many know about? I have investigated many venues over the years, and I'm looking for somewhere new to visit! Can be anywhere in the UK, I'm willing to travel!!

I’ve mostly blocked out the memory of being in the haunted hall at Hampton Court Palace, where Catherine Howard is said to still haunt. Although, my experience was with a young boy in 1800s clothing. I’m struggling to recall exactly what happened but he looked as real as me and tried to grab my hand. I ran out of the hall for a moment and then went back to look at him and there wasn’t anyone there. I was 20 yrs old and this was in Sept 2003. I felt pretty shocked tbh and immediately called a friend to pick me up. I went back to visit the palace last year and didn’t feel or experience anything this time around. Really interesting vibes tho in the wine cellar.
