I’ve been studying a lot of faceless and automation channels recently and noticed something interesting.
A lot of creators seem to get demonetized after their channel starts growing, not when they start.
Common patterns I keep seeing:
• Scripts start following identical structures
• Hooks become very formulaic
• Videos feel “template based”
• Heavy AI voice usage
At first things work great.
But after a while creators suddenly get:
-
reused content flags
-
limited ads
-
suppressed reach
And most of them don’t even know what exactly triggered it.
So I’m curious:
For those running YouTube channels here,
What do you worry about the most when uploading a video?
• demonetization
• suppression
• reused content
• AI detection
• something else?
I go on Twitter and every day I see hundreds of demonetized channels. What's happened this past week has been unbelievable; I've never seen so many cases. And now there are even cases of gaming channels where someone's face is shown playing a game, lol.
I also found this channel called Shorts demonetized. YouTube, either you do something or you're going to take down hundreds of YouTubers...
Demonetized:
BIOLOCO
Corredordelamuertetv
AnimeVersusYT
first amendment auditor and police watch channels took a brutal hit yesterday as most of them were demonetized including first amendment protection agency, long island audit, amagensett press, press NH now, bay area transparency, and tons more.
long island audit, one of the most accomplished and known auditors in the world, has been featured in real world news for years, always has something going on with government, 1M+ subs, owns a digital billboard truck for activism, had his money turned off overnight, just like that. his life was just flipped upside down economically with no warning.
similarly amagensett press facing the same fate, having his channel demonetized after having been active for the better part of five years.
i share this as a warning to any of you that are starting a channel and planning on using youtube for your revenue engine if you plan to monetize.
this also serves as a secondary warning as to just how easy it is to lose your channel when they decide to target certain content or change creator responsibility tolerances even if you thought you followed all the rules
my suggestion is check out rumble and other platforms as your primary host to your audience and use yt, tiktok, facebook, and ig as your shorts lead in to that content.
placing your future in the hands of any social media platform today is a risk you probably shouldn't take unmanaged.
