Graphene and related materials for the Internet of Bio-Nano Things | APL Materials | AIP Publishing
August 7, 2023 - Central to the IoE vision, which draws inspiration from the vast connectivity and diverse networking characteristics of the universe, is the emerging Internet of Bio-Nano Things (IoBNT) framework, which encompasses collaborative networks of Bio-Nano Things (BNTs).4 These networks consist of a diverse array of context-aware entities, including biological beings and artificial micro/nanoscale devices, such as engineered bacteria and nanosensors, that interact closely with their natural counterparts in complex biological environments.5 Leveraging the power of nanotechnology and biotechnology with communication and networking tools, IoBNT is poised to seamlessly bridge the digital and biological worlds in ways and at spatiotemporal resolutions that were previously inconceivable.
