Hello. Bought LiveGo iptv, and got it working on android, on the same network.

On my LG (2019) using IPTV SMARTERS PRO app, i get "authorization failed for above host". I triple-checked spelling, tried DNS (1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8). Reinstalled. Tried other iptv software, that are all shit, and didn't provide the same login prompts. Also tried though hotspot internet. Tried different host variations (http and https). What could be the issue?

SOLVED: Installed hot iptv or Tivi iptv, and logged in with the qr code on the screen the app provides.

I already have subscription in IPTV list but when I try to run IPTV SMARTERS on my LG smart tv I keep getting “fail to authorise“

I am struggling since yesterday fighting with this error. I was using it without problem, but the tv got stuck, I had to reboot it, and when I turned it on the app had lost all the saved data and now the credentials are not working anymore, giving me always the same "Authentication failed for the above host".

On the iPhone/MacOS version no problem at all.

I tried all the "solutions" found here and on the web, changing the slash of the URL for the backslash, adding :80 at the end of the URL... Nothing is working. I am getting crazy also because I searched in the LG store and found no valid alternative.

Hi, i'm currently trying to set up my iptv on my new LG TV. The credential and the host is correct, in fact I'm able to log in with the computer app and watch everything. Instead, on the LG Tv, the error "Authorization Failed for above host" keep popping out.

Has anyone had the same problem? Any ideas about the solution?

EDIT: It keeps saying the same problem on my Samsung tv, so maybe it's a problem with the tv version?

Apps supported by Tizen

I've read countless of posts and checked dozens of apps supported by Tizen, and I must say all of them look like sh*t. The only one everybody recommends is IPTV Smarters Pro, but I can't add a single playlist (which works on other apps) as it always errors with "Authorization failed for above host".

Is there something I'm missing here? Any good app I could use? Or how to fix SmartersPro?

Setting up a bootable USB

Apparently KodiBuntu is discontinued and Kodi can't be set up on USB anymore for my smartTV to read. Is there any good alternative to KodiBuntu?

Other options

I'm setting this up for several family members, so investing into Firesticks and other additional equipment is out of the equation for the time being.. at least if it can be done any other way. If it can be booted directly via USB that would be great.

Casting is also not an option, some of them are not technical and it doesn't seem practical to do this every time you want to watch TV.

Any other suggestions on what to do?

Intenté ingresar mis credenciales varias veces y verifiqué tres o cuatro veces que sean correctas. Por alguna razón cuando presiono “Agregar Usuario” hace…nada…como que no me da error, no carga, no hace nada de nada. Intenté desinstalar y reinstalar la aplicación, apagar y encender la televisión, etc. ¡Por favor ayuda!

Editar: no pudimos encontrar una solución para la aplicación IPTV en nuestro televisor LG; sin embargo, compramos un Firestick e instalamos la aplicación IPTV siguiendo los pasos de este video ( https://youtu.be/sO2Id0bXHIY?si=d3FCarcbKNpVpqnH ) ¡y funciona perfectamente! (Pensé que era más barato que comprar un televisor nuevo que no sea LG). Espero que esto ayude.

Tenho certeza de que não cometi nenhum erro no meu nome de usuário, senha ou URL. O segundo login/licença na minha outra TV funciona perfeitamente.

Hello, very noob here. I downloaded the app and it asks me to add a new user as you can see in the pic. I have a m3u url that I need to add in the “url” field. This url contains an username and password, do I need to add those in the log in details or do I need to add my IPTV smarters credentials (email and password I used to register)?

In any case I get error “authorization failed for above host”

Now we all know that Smarters Pro (by WHMCS) is a less than ideal player, especially on Samsung TVs/Tizen. However some folks insist on using that, so be it...

There's one thing I fail to understand with that setup. Perfectly working URLs (tested on different players, including SmartersPro on Android) will return an authentication/authorization failed error message when adding a playlist to SmartersPro on Tizen OS.

Does anyone know why that is? Any solution other than the obvious (ditching that setup)?

Edit: typically, successful URLs are short CF ones - but even then, there's no guarantee of those working

Update: turns out the reason is that the developer charges a fee to have URLs registered with them. Non registered URLs will not work on their LG and Samsung apps.

Managed to get this to work by putting a space before the http, if anybody is having the same issues.

I have had no issues for the last 8 months running it on my LG TV on Smarters player pro but all of a sudden it no longer works. I deleted the playlist and try logging in again, I get authorisation failed or incorrect user/pass. The same details work on my phone using Smarters player lite. Has anybody else had this issue? I know a lot of people will say use Tivqre via firestick but I like it direct to my TV.

I'm sticking my toe in the water to learn about IPTV. I just wanted to see what the Smarter IPTV app looked like, so I downloaded it from the TV's app menu, opened it, and unexpectedly discovered that I started a 7 day trial. All that is on there is a few demo channels. I uninstalled the app, which probably was a mistake. I live in Canada.

Now for the questions.

I thought the app/player was free, at least not the Pro one. The app I installed did not reference the word "Pro" anywhere. If either version is free, as they state on their website, why is there a trial period?

I've read on the Smarters websites that Samsung TV's don't support "Premium Version features". Is this another way of saying "Pro"?
