This is probably the biggest reason that I tell people to get a MANUEL program to control the telecoil and not let the hearing aids determine when the telecoil should be used (automatic telecoil).

June 12, 2023 - That is what is supposed to happen on mine and does on someone else's car. But my car bluetooth interferes with the audio on my Iphone. Without hearing aids, I do what you do. But with hearing aids, they lock into my car bluetooth which can not be updated and conflicts with my phone audio.

Bluetooth is off and the blasting stream still comes through. This weekend has been horrible. I had to open the battery door on the hearing aid thus losing sound from that one.

Yes rechargeable would be nice - I had batteries to replace every couple of days and I kept dropping them/the hearing aids trying to get the battery out! Not being able to feel your own hands is a significant barrier to handling tiny things with dexterity. The tiny flimsy door on the aids to access the batteries..I was sure I was going to destroy them, having destroyed many tiny fragile things inadvertently in the past. I just use my Mifo earbuds turned up all the way, bluetoothed to my phone/car/stereo - they’re rechargeable, small enough to fit in ear but large enough to handle without dropping, with better sound quality, at around 1/6th the price of the aids I had.

July 29, 2022 - Your issue appears to be with the reliability of the charging system. I assume that with both red and green lights on, that means the aids are charged enough to work???? Keep in mind that when the battery goes down to nothing, that means the hearing aids will be 'reset'.

July 26, 2019 - I think they do damage your hearing in the long run. They have for me. I went from a moderate hearing loss before hearing aids to now a profound hearing loss in 2 short years. I asked my audiologist about it and she had no clue.

December 29, 2020 - From my experience, the manufacturer reps seem eager to help the audiologists. Phonak is a major manufacturer so they should be available. I hope the audiologists ego doesn't interfere. Let me know how this pans out. Tony in Michigan ... Don't accept the ones that don't work for you. Do what Tony said above or just ask for different hearing aids.

February 24, 2019 - Car. TV. Restaurants. One on one conversations. Meetings. Deciding which work best (finding some work better than others in different environments.) Then eliminate any that are not that good. If need be, replace those with any additional adjustments. Recently, I found sites on line for student audiologists to practice on. They have tones at the different test frequencies used by audiologists. Wearing my hearing aids, I set the computer volume at what seems to be a normal and comfortable level for the 2000 frequency (test middle value) then I compare either side (1000 and 3000) to the volume level of the 2000 and record whether it seems louder of softer of about the same.

Those openings where the microphones are can get clogged with normal debris espically on women who use hair products. My current Audi just vacuumed out my Cros and other 2 aids and I could notice ...

August 25, 2019 - He also suggested I use mineral oil for my dry ears which get itchy sometimes and affect my hearing. Have you checked your tubing? I’ve had a hairline split in tubing and now I retube my own BTEs more often. I’ve had tubing get clogged and sound was going in and out. You said it improved slightly when you syringed so it’s likely there is some blockage. I see my ENT every 4 or 6 months for an inspection and cleaning of my ears and the Audi checks and cleans the aids.
