July 22, 2025 - She tells us that orbs are often caused by moths, dust or moisture but then states that the light anomalies they filmed at Levens Hall were not caused by any of these but were ‘genuine orbs’. Given subsequent revelations about Most Haunted it’s difficult to accept much of what we have just seen as genuine.

February 9, 2019 - That Levens Hall should attract ghosts is hardly surprising. The present owner, Mr Charles Henry (‘Hal’) Bagot, who has been in charge since 1975, is not psychic. He rather wistfully regrets that he has never seen one of the haunting visitants himself, but the house has an outstandingly warm and friendly atmosphere which any sensible spectre might well decide to linger in.

September 8, 2025 - Episode 25’s main tale is a look at the gypsy curse of Levens Hall, Cumbria, along with its Grey Lady, Pink Lady and ghost dog. We then move onto a 1903 tale of a haunted house told in the Wemyss Gazette, before moving on to William Henderson’s version of the Hazlerigg Dunnie story.

She was turned away because she was a gypsy, and with her last dying breath she shrieked this curse at them: “No son will inherit the Hall until the river Kent doesn’t flow anymore and a white fawn is born in the park.” Levens Hall at that time had a herd of Black Norwegian fallow deer….and it was indeed nearly 2 centuries later, in 1896, when the River Kent did freeze and the first little white fawn was born to the herd,….closely followed by the birth to the family of Alan Desmond Bagot.

June 23, 2025 - True to form, no male heirs were born until 1896 when the River Kent froze and a fawn was born. Spooky! So spooky, that the bizarre TV programme Most Haunted recorded an episode at Levens Hall.
