I require the Microsoft/Windows Store on my Windows IoT system, and I couldn't find any official documentation or guides. The method for installing the Microsoft Store on Windows 10 IoT doesn't work on 11.

These are now both officially available via Microsoft, if you have a Visual Studio Subscription (VSS) that covers them (very expensive).

You can view the SHA256 for the ISO's without needing a VSS by setting the correct language/architecture in the dropdown menus and then clicking the (i) to the right. You may need to create an account or login to to see this page, then click "All Downloads" on the left.

Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024: Support ends on October 10, 2034 (10 years of support). The term 24 means the year and H2 means the second half. It's 10 years of support for LTSC. LTSC 2026 or 26H2 for retail should be released soon. LTSC volume license channel should follow months later.

What are the chances that you can buy IoT LTSC (legally!) from one of the official Microsoft IoT distributors (like Arrow, Avnet...) if you're not a big company, but an art studio requiring 3-4 OS installs per year for artworks?

We are usually buying rugged workstations computers with IoT LTSC from ONLOGIC, but they specialize in rugged and edge computers. Once in a while we need a more standard workstation we could get cheaper elsewhere, but no one else offers those powerful enough and with IoT LTSC.

Is there any point to start the "Microsoft customer license agreement" (CLA) process at arrow.com for example? Could we just buy 1 license from them?

If you're going through a reseller who buys licenses in bulk and has a MAL portal, then you're likely obtaining it legally. The problem is trying to become a reseller. That's where you need to have at least 5 licenses or subscriptions in your portal in order to even get the LTSC/IOT keys, and that's where it can cost upwards of $500. If you're going through a reseller who is already a MS partner, then that is the appropriate channel to go through to get a truly legit authorized key.

Can I simply extract the ISO file on a Windows 11 Pro PC and perform an in-place installation using setup.exe? And do I need to provide the product key during installation, or can I activate it afterward?

No. LTSC is a completely different servicing branch with no in place upgrade path from Pro to LTSC. You would be forced into a clean install if you tried to launch the setup.exe in the ISO. Technically you could run the following command to add a regkey and trick the installer by running setup.exe immediately after: reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" /v EditionID /d IoTEnterpriseS /f The trailing "S" denotes the LTSC branch (historically standing for Servicing). By telling the installer your current OS is IoTEnterpriseS, the LTSC installer recognizes it as a valid, same-tier upgrade path, rather than throwing a cross-channel compatibility block. This is a terrible idea and is not supported whatsoever. LTSC completely lacks the app frameworks, Microsoft Store, and other dependencies native to Windows 11 Pro, forcing an in-place upgrade can leave behind ghost app links, broken context menus or profile instabilities.

I am pretty sure 25H2 and the eventual 26H2 are still on 24H2's kernel as msft has been doing enablement packages instead so you're very likely to be fine

NTLite would be the best bet to slipstream updates. As for an ISO going out of date - I haven't bothered doing any slipstreaming as Windows Update would just grab the latest CU instead of 1532 updates. Or I use my stash of updates if I need to.

i have a Xeon-E5 2696 V3, Rtx 3070, 32GB of ram and my motherboard supports TPM and (probably) Secure Boot.

Will i be able to download Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024 (non-IoT)? Also is 2024 the latest LTSC IoT/non-IoT version?

I think the right way would be to Install the IoT version first and then change the language. Go to Start > Settings > Time & language > Language & region. Under "Preferred languages", select Add a language. Search for and select Italian (Italy).
