Answer (1 of 7): The question is erroneous. The Dodecanese islands were ceded to Italy in virtue of Lausanne’s Peace treaty article 15. There is no mention whatsoever in the afore-mentioned Treaty about the “demilitarisation” of those islands where Italy built several large naval bases, ...
