I don't know how many of you are running the x570 AORUS Elite, but, with the USB 2.0 ports, if I unplug a USB device, it crashes the other devices in 2.0 ports. However, this does not carry over into the 3.x ports.
Anyone else able to replicate it? I removed a microphone, which caused my KB+M to stop responding for a brief period of maybe 2 or 4 seconds.
**UPDATE**
I used the Q Flash Plus method of updating the bios without the processor, updated from ver. f3 to the ver. f4j fixed everything, now I can use the bios without freezes and even activating the XMP profile for my ram, and I dont have randoms windows crashes using USB accesories like externals HDD
*****
For information about the Q Flash Plus feature I saw this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-MoHYAmg84 (is an aourus intel mobo, but the mechanics are the same) and this video from gigyabate https://youtu.be/449N8h2GdlU - https://imgur.com/a/KcTVqQf
You just have to only plug de 24 pin cable and the 8-pin cpu cable (without the cpu and ram), have an USB 2.0 with the new Bios renamed to GIGABYTE.BIN plugged on the QFlas usb port, then press the Q Flash Plus button (on my Elite mobo is a button on the lower part of the motherboard) and wait

Hello!
Yesterday I finished building my new PC, everything was fine, the computer post and enter the bios and showed me a message about Bios reset and re-config bios setup with and Ok button, so I just clicked it... and... it freezes
Then proceded to restart the computer, it post again, it showed the bios splash screen and then it auto restarted, then it stared again and entered the bios automatically
it was all good, buuut it freezes again in a couple of seconds, so I can´t enter the bios without freezing over me again and again (sometimes just entering sometimes it takes a little more time), it just stuck there
sometimes strange things happens when in the bios, like some text missing (like the cpu temp labels) and some text changing to Chinese (or something like in the photo https://imgur.com/G4rs2vA ) but it happen in real time, is in english then some text just disappear or change to chinese
After some hours trying to figure out what the problem was (changing ram slots, disconnecting USB's ports, checking every connection to the mobo, etc...), I just went ahead and installed windows to see if it was only the bios and it installed (well it just forzen at mid install the first time, but the second it was all good), then I entered windows and it didn’t crashed for a while (like 2 hours)
My current bios version is F3, I downloaded the latest bios from gigabyte but i'm uneable to install it because the freezes over the bios
Just for the record, my ram with samsung b-die is not on the QVL list of this motherboard (but it is on the other x570 aorus models) but i don't know if this kind of problems can be attributed to a ram problem? I will borrow another ram this weekend but meanwhile have anyone a clue about what could be causing this kind of problem?
Able to clear the cmos? And run ram at 2133 till you are able to get to the bios flash screen?
Unplug the mouse and use keyboard only in bios
Make sure your usb stick is formatted FAT32 - you can use the tool GUIFORMAT to format it properly.
Make sure you place the file in the root folder with the correct file name and extension. Remove the CPU and try the flashback function.
Hey all
So lately I've been experiencing some issues with Rainbow Six Siege. The game starts to work... funny. The interface gets laggy, kills on the killfeed overstep each other, menus won't show pictures, etc. I've also experienced some issues like random reboots with kernel critical errors on the event viewer without useful information.
The problem is that yesterday, I had a shutdown that basically powered off everything on my system, except the RGB lights from the fans and the GPU. I thought "oh crap, my PSU is dead".
So a friend of mine sent over a PSU with an old gfx card, for testing purposes. The system came back. Then I put my PSU and card. The system won't power up.
But after some hours, the system is now working properly. Call it shenanigans, I don't know what's going on. Preemptively, I have bought a new PSU (gold certified, just better than what I have now).
But I started to read on this sub that some people had this issue with X570 cards (not exatly mine, the X570 i Aorus Pro) and apparently they had to clear CMOS.
What's the recommended BIOS for the X570 i Aorus Pro? I flashed my bios with the latest one from the support page, the F20b.
I downloaded the latest chipset driver. I have XMP profile activated. All my drivers are updated. What's going on? Could it be my GPU? My CPU? My PSU? Or 100% is the mobo?
I'll leave my specs below just in case anyone with something similar managed to fix it:
Mobo: Gigabyte X570 i Aorus Pro WiFi
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x
Gfx card: Zotac RTX 2080 Super Amp Edition
RAM: G.Skill TridentZ RGB Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin 3000MHz (PC4 24000) (model F4-3000C16D-32GTZR)
Storage: Crucial P1 1 TB (primary disk, OS) + Samsung EVO 850 1TB
PSU: Corsair CX750M
Case: Corsair 280x
Hi all, this morning I started to have problems with my Gigabyte Aorus Master X570 / 3950X combo. Up until today my system has been rock solid, and I have not had any stability issues. Now whenever I go to do a rendering using 3DSMAX where all my CPU cores are loaded up, my external USB drives keep disconnecting / reconnecting until the rendering is stopped. The strange thing is I can load my CPU up using Prime95 or OCCT and I don't have such an issue. Checking my System Error Event log I see the following Error 51:
"An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk4\DR9 during a paging operation."
I am getting the same error on both my external drives. I have done a disk check on both drives and neither are reporting any errors, and I have also tried both the USB 3.1 and USB 2.0 ports on my motherboard. I am running the default BIOS from Gigabyte, and am just doing a system backup before attempting to flash the F32 update. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Right now my rendering workstation is pretty much useless until I can figure this out. Nothing is overclocked on the machine, and the only changes I have made in my BIOS are to disable C States as I read elsewhere on Reddit that this may help with the issue, and also have disabled USB legacy support. Temperatures are still all good hitting about 75 under load.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!
Windows 10 crashes after the PC wakes up. All the drivers are updated. Both BIOSes are up to date. No overclocking, and even XMP is off for testing.
It appears there is a problem with the Intel i211 NIC on this motherboard. The event log says it had "problems with starting".
has anyone encountered similar problems?
Edit: thanks to u/BigBoss0707 I tried downgrading BIOS from F12e to F11, and so far, waking up from sleep or hibernation did not cause any crashes.
Just upgraded from a 4770K to 5600X with a new GB Aorus Ultra X570 Mobo.
Was interesting that my 3600Mhz RAM wouldn't even work until I had updated the BIOS to F33.. but all good now on that front. Machine runs great and fast..
What was interesting was having my Pimax 5K VR disconnect at random, glitches in tracking on the latest AMD chipset drivers (2.17.25.506). I did a bit of testing and couldn't make it run better (disable C states, downgrade to PCIe3.0)
I had a spare PCIe USB 3.0 card and put that into the machine, and put all my USB devices onto that card.
Result - flawless USB tracking and VR.
my motherboards usb 3.0 ports seem to not function , a lot of my devices that are usb 3.0 (such as webcams) have had issues when plugged into my pc and even webcams that aren’t usb 3.0 have issues when plugged into the usb 3.0 ports. Is there any known fix for this issue or should I just contact support?
Sounds like a faulty motherboard or missing drivers or something. I've had no issues myself at all with usb on the same motherboard.
If you're running a PCIe Gen 4.0 GPU, try setting your PCIe to Gen 3.0 for the X16 slot in BIOS.

Whenever my fans spin up, even while using chrome, my pc crashes. After every crash it resets the bios settings. Whenever i try to re-set XMP i am stuck in a crash loop without even reaching windows login. Sometimes removing the memory sticks help, sometimes a long powerdown helps me get into windows. I tried reinstalling windows on a fresh SSD but i still had the same problem. Yes, i have all drivers updated, yes, bios is on the latest version, being F33 or something. It all started 3 weeks ago after 10 months of constant use without having experienced anything like this. Event viewer categorizes the crashes as Event ID 41

Have you tried using memtest86? Your RAM my have failed.
Yeah, I've been on one memory stick for a week now, tested the one I'm using with memtest86, no errors during the full 4 hour test.
I don't actually know anyone near me.that has any ddr4 sticks, all are old timers with old setups... But I think I can lend some on Monday,
