Huckabee: In the NGO war on Israel, ‘silence is agreement’ - JNS.org
December 11, 2025 - Huckabee responded with examples of what he called “action, not talk.” He cited Trump’s appointment of Leo Terrell to head a dedicated antisemitism task force in the Department of Justice and the creation of two ambassador-level posts at the State Department focused on combating antisemitism, filled by Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun and former congressman Mark Walker. “These are full-time people whose sole job… is to combat this worldwide,” Huckabee said. “Other people talk about it. You’ve done something, and you’ve put people in these offices not as honorary jobs, but people who are passionate about doing that job.” · He also defended the administration’s hard line on UNRWA and other agencies implicated in Hamas cooperation, describing a joint U.S.-Israel effort to ensure that no American taxpayer funds go to NGOs “found to be complicit with the activities of Hamas” or “counterproductive to getting the hostages out and ending the war.” ·

Mike Huckabee, Trump’s Ambassador to Israel, Defends His “Kind Of Strange” Interview With Tucker Carlson | Vanity Fair
February 27, 2026 - I thought that was a very deceptively edited piece, and dishonest and disingenuous to do it that way. It would be like me saying, “I watched the hockey game between the US and Canada in the Olympics, but I didn’t watch the last 30 seconds.” So the question is, Do I really know how that hockey game went? Well, not if you edited out the last 30 seconds. And I would say that if you edited out the rest of my response, you have no idea what I really said. (Carlson declined to comment to Vanity Fair.) There are people in the Israeli government who do want to pursue what they call Greater Israel. Would you support those efforts? Honestly, I’ve never heard anyone—and I’m pretty close to a lot of the people by virtue of my job. I deal with ’em every day. I have honestly never heard a single person say, “Yeah, the land should be the Euphrates to the Nile.” I’ve never heard it, ever.

The Shift: International outcry over Huckabee claim that Israel can control from Egypt to Iraq – Mondoweiss
February 26, 2026 - The incident has forced Trump officials, such as Deputy Secretary of State Chris Landau and Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker, to call Arab leaders and assure them that Huckabee was expressing his personal views and that the administration’s policies have not shifted. In addition to the international fallout, the interview is reverberating domestically, as it further symbolizes the growing rift over Israel within the Republican Party. A Times of Israel report on the situation refers to the wider fight as “battle for the GOP’s soul.” · The new controversy comes just two weeks after right-wing activist Carrie Prejean Boller was ousted from Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission after criticizing Israel during a hearing. It wasn’t long ago that AIPAC held a massive annual conference that was broadcast on C-SPAN. Thousands gathered to watch presidential hopefuls and influential lawmakers openly pledge their support for Israel.

February 23, 2026 - The often tense and combative interview illustrated a rift within the American right over how far the US should go in its support for Israel. Carlson challenged Huckabee repeatedly on whether his claim about the biblical rights of all Jews to settle in the territory between the sea and the River Jordan was defined ethnically or religiously.

Combative Carlson-Huckabee interview reveals US right’s chasm over Israel
February 21, 2026 - On the other is an older Christian conservative establishment that views that alliance as a totem of US foreign policy – and in some cases believes that Israeli Jews possess a divine right to a large swathe of the Middle East, US public opinion be damned. Call it the Brawl at Ben Gurion. During their more than two-hour dialogue, Carlson, the rightwing commentator, repeatedly insinuated that Huckabee was more invested in defending the interests of Israel than those of the country he represents as a US official.

Huckabee’s Bold Proposal: Send Iran’s Proxies Back To The ‘Mothership’
2 weeks ago - The human cost of Iran’s proxy strategy was underscored when 92 retired U.S. generals and admirals published an open letter on the first anniversary of the October 7 Hamas massacre of over 1,200 Israelis, warning that “Iran’s reign of terror transcends boundaries” and that “October 7 is not an isolated incident, but one front in a much larger global civilizational struggle.” · Huckabee’s “Mothership” proposal won’t appear in any formal peace framework. But its underlying logic — that sustainable peace in Lebanon and Gaza requires severing, not managing, Iran’s grip on its proxies — reflects a growing consensus among U.S. and Israeli strategists that half-measures have consistently failed. ... 2 weeks ago - US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee speaks at the Tel Aviv Conference at Tel Aviv University in collaboration with the Kadar Foundation, May 7, 2026. (Chen Galili and Israel Hadari) ... UN Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, declared on Tuesday that the US owes its existence to the Jewish heritage rooted in the land of Israel. His remark follows President Donald Trump’s comment at the G7 that “without the US, there would be no Israel.” · Speaking at the International Conference on Israeli Heritage in Judea and Samaria, Huckabee said part of his mission as ambassador is to convey Israel’s importance to the United States. “It is your heritage, without a doubt, but it is also the heritage of the United States. Without Israel, without the Jewish foundation, there would not be America. We owe our very existence to what happened in this land,” Huckabee said.

US would not exist without Israel, ambassador Huckabee repeats claim | Middle East Eye
US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has repeated his claim that the United States would not exist without Israel, defending remarks that previously drew attention and debate. Speaking at a conference organised by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in West Jerusalem on 22 June, Huckabee said Western civilisation was founded on Jewish and Judeo-Christian principles. "Without Israel, the United States would not exist," he said, adding: "Without that, there would be no United States. It's that simple." Huckabee acknowledged recent tensions in US-Israeli relations but argued that the relationship between the two countries remained enduring, describing it as an "unbreakable bond".
