Virus TI. Basically the de-facto trance synth other than the JP8K.

Or for a much cheaper priced the behringer JT-4000 micro does the JP supersaw great.

A virus TI is expensive too though, however, another synth that will do a great job in trance is the novation ultranova. It's got an incredibly powerful engine and you can pick them up used for £250. It's a poor mans virus, even uses the same DSP chip.

I own both a virus and ultranova, the virus sounds better 'out of the box' but with a bit of programming (and avoiding the 24db filter) the ultranova can sound really really great.

The thing to keep in mind is that the JP-08 is the deepest of all three of these synths. It’s the only one with multiple ADSRs, and the only one with both PWM and hard sync.

The JX-03 is almost as deep as the JP-08, has a couple of cross-modulation options the JP-08 doesn’t have (notably ring modulation), and is $100 less. The JU-06 is the least deep of the three, but benefits from being the easiest to program, and that chorus makes it easy to get nice lush sounds out of it.
