June 1, 2016 - Answer (1 of 11): Peak torque and peak power numbers as advertised by manufacturers , don’t paint the complete picture of vehicle performance. Any bike or car will not spend all it’s time at peak torque and peak power RPMs. What is more important is the area under the torque curve.
