Their "findings" list some truly absurd numbers (E Guinea at 59 IQ average, Nepal at 42 IQ average and India at 82).
Many of these have been outright debunked - for instance, they used the IQ of students in a school for the developmentally challenged in Spain as data for E Guinea. Hence, imo - their "data" can be taken wholesale and tossed out.
However, are there any studies that show actual average IQs for countries that are well researched and written?

I think that no one takes IQ as a measure for a variable. It's so unreliable, biased and frankly rooted in ableist and racist talking points that I don't think its worthwhile.

Literally the first thing covered in the first year of my psychology degree was IQ tests being inaccurate and having massive cross cultural issues. No one takes them as an absolute measure of anything, they are an indicator at best. For a start there is no accepted definition of intelligence. We think IQ is correlated with a type of intelligence but it's usefulness is dependant on context. Secondly there are inherent cultural biases. Sitting down to a test is not a thing every culture is used to. In some cultures answering quickly is seen as stupid and rash. Using IQ to measure different cultures is like saying a person is bad at sports because they don't know how to play ice hockey

Food for thought: 99% of Ethiopians cannot read a map. They just never learned how to use them. If you test them on map navigation skills, they will flop. That doesn't mean they have an inherent mental disability. I think the same thing is happens with IQ scores. The scores are only good indicators of cognitive ability if the subjects have been exposed with the type of questions being asked. More on reddit.com

So, been doing some research about average IQ in countries, and one of the thing that caught my attention is that in Africa average IQ there is low as 70, which is kinda interesting, and also in Brazil some studies shows that average IQ there is only 83 - 87, I'm a Brazilian, and it's probably no wonder why I'm bad at school academically lol

The Africa one is especially interesting because the white Americans who were studying it deliberately left out the results from a private black only school (remember it was done under apartite) but left in a black only factory and also a white private school. Basically any racial differences can be explained away by rigged results or malnutrition growing up. The first is because people who look specifically for racial differences always want their race to be on top. And the later is provable because when people migrate from poorly developed countries to developed countries their kids suddenly meet the average as they grow up properly nourished. Which wouldn't happen if it was genetic.
